Scripture
Psalm 23:3
“He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.”
Vineyard Lesson
Renewal Reaches Below the Surface
After harvest, healthy leaves keep gathering light while the vine redirects strength into its roots, trunk, and arms. What is restored beneath the surface will support the first growth of another season.
Devotional
God’s restoration often begins where no one else can see it. We look for changed circumstances, renewed energy, or immediate answers. The Shepherd first attends to the soul. The Vinetender attends to the Vine.
Psalm 23 reminds us that restoration and guidance belong together. God does not merely give us enough strength to return to hurry. He refreshes us, then leads us along the right paths—at His pace and for His name’s sake.
Let Him care for your roots today. Bring Him the weariness beneath your smile, the worry beneath your plans, and the need beneath your work. His restoring presence can reach what activity cannot.
Vineyard Vision
Picture a vine after harvest, its leaves still open to the sun. Beneath the soil, its roots are receiving strength for what lies ahead. Imagine the Shepherd beside you, renewing your soul and gently pointing toward the next right step.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for seeing the hidden places of my soul. Restore what is weary, nourish my roots in Christ, and guide me away from hurry into Your right paths. Help me receive renewal before reaching for the next task. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
